Rungas foundation in collaboration with Butterfly Effect Empowerment Initiative have launched a monetary relief fund to provide assistance to Nigerians who have been negatively impacted by COVID 19 pandemic.
The COVID-19 pandemic has deeply impacted the world, crippling societies, economies and various systems across the globe. Most countries are still figuring out how best to handle it and Nigeria being Africa’s most populous nation is at greatest risk of an overwhelming spread. As such government ordered lockdowns were put in place to help curb the spread and flatten the curve.
While some have been able to capitalise off the pandemic, others have been left in vulnerable positions. Government palliatives can only go so far, so Civil Society Organisations and well meaning Nigerians have launched and implemented different projects to support the poor and vulnerable during this time. This is where the Rungas relief project seeks to come in.
